Hello...

I’m Carrie, the face behind Carrie’s Cakes & Bakes.

I have always been creative and studied fine art at Edinburgh College of Art before going on to study curating in London. After graduating I spent the next 12 years working behind the scenes in the arts and charity sectors. I have always loved baking and I missed doing something creative, so, I decided to turn my passion into a profession by launching my own cake baking and decorating business.

Having spent time taking various classes and courses I launched Carrie's Cakes & Bakes in June 2024. I have studied at South Thames College in London as well as taking classes at Vic’s Kitchen, The Cake College, Lissie Lou Cake School, Crumbs & Doillies and with Piece’s Bakery. I am Level 2 Food Hygiene certified and my kitchen holds a five-star hygiene rating.

I live in Surrey, and when not making cakes I can usually be found running or walking my golden retriever in the Surrey Hills.
