Placing an Order
How do I order?
Send a message on social media or email carriescakesbakes@gmail.com. You can also use the enquiry form
here. If ordering a bespoke cake, please include:

  • Collection date (not the event date)

  • Approximate number of servings

  • Flavour and design ideas

  • Any allergy or dietary requirements

How much notice do you need?
At least two weeks notice is recommended. For bespoke cakes or busy seasons, earlier booking is advised. If you need something sooner, feel free to ask if I can accommodate a short notice order – If I can, I absolutely will. 


Do you offer custom designs?

Yes! Share your theme or colour palette and I'll create a design that suits your style and occasion. 
 

Can you copy a cake I've seen online?
I'll use it for inspiration to create something similar in style.

 

When do you release seasonal collections?
Usually about a month before the occasion—follow me on Instagram or Facebook for updates.

Pricing & Payments

How much do your cakes and bakes cost?
Each cake is custom-made, so prices vary based on size, flavour, and design complexity. Set-price seasonal treats (such as for Valentine’s Day) are announced on social media.

 

How do I pay for my order?

​Via bank transfer or payment link. Your deposit secures your booking; balance is due 48 hours before collection. 

​

I haven’t paid my deposit – is my order still booked in?
No. If payment is not received within 48 hours of the invoice being sent, your booking is not confirmed and your date may no longer be available. Please check with me before sending payment if you’re unsure.

 

Collection & Delivery
Where do I collect my order?
From Fetcham, Surrey. The full address will be provided after your deposit is paid.

 

Do you offer delivery?
Mainly collection only, but if you cannot collect, get in touch to check if delivery is possible.

 

How should I transport my cake?

To keep your cake safe:

  • Place flat in the boot or footwell of your car. Do not place on a seat.

  • Keep your car cool.

  • Drive carefully, avoiding sharp turns and sudden stops.

Once the cake leaves my premises, I'm not responsible for any damage.
 

Storage & Shelf Life
How should I store my cake?

  • Keep in the fridge, then remove one to two hours before serving.

  • In hot weather, only take the cake out when needed.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.

How long will it last?

  • Best enjoyed within three days.

  • Some oil-based sponges last up to five days.


Can I freeze my cake?

Some cakes freeze well, ask me first for advice.

 

Cancellations & Changes

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, but please note:

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Full payment is due if cancelled within two weeks for cakes or one week for cupcakes.

  • Custom toppers/charms already ordered must still be paid for.

 

Can I make changes to my order?

  • Flavour changes can be made up to one week before.

  • Design changes can be made up to two weeks before.

  • If I have already ordered custom decorations from third parties, further changes may not be possible.

 

Other Questions

Do cakes come boxed?

Yes - all cakes are boxed with a board for safe transport.


Do you cater for allergies?

I take allergies seriously, but as I work from a home kitchen, I cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens such as gluten, eggs, milk, and soya.


Do you provide a cutting guide?

Yes, for celebration cakes you will receive a cake care and cutting guide to help you serve your cake properly.
